Job Description:
Performs COMPLEX production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.
Technical/Software Skills:
* Install various parts and assemblies such as landing gear, aircraft control surfaces, exterior panels, carpets, blankets, roller trays/ball mats, stowbins, sidewalls, ceiling panels, lavatories, galleys, doors, and seats.
* Install various aircraft system components such as tubing, valves, regulators, actuators, compressors, and ducts.
* Use various hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as screwdrivers, ratchets, power screwdriver multi meters, continuity testers.
Requirements/Years of experience/Etc.
* 7 or more years experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications.
* 7 or more years experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading, and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
* 7 or more years experience in a technical or mechanical field performing work with basic hand, power and/or pneumatic (air) tools.
* 7 or more years experience with hydraulic and pneumatic system design.
Physical demands (if any):
* Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
* Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as: flexion/extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting).
* Carry/Lift up to 35 pounds.
* Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals.
Education / Experience:
Typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
