Job Description:
Under limited general direction and following established procedures in accordance with contractual requirements and policy and procedures, this position performs engineering design assignments for preparation of engineering design documents and maintaining the design disclosure.
Typical responsibilities include:
Prepare product definition (CAD models, drawings, EBOMs) for engineering designs using Creo version 10.0 integrated with Windchill PLM System version 12
Perform checking verification of Product Definition associated with models, drawings, and PLM attributes and relationships to industry, company, and program standards
Prepare and work from design layouts and/or preliminary conceptual design layouts
Generate or validate tolerance stack up calculations and resulting GD&T based on ASME Y14.5
Ensure adherence to model centric design philosophy (model driven drawings) via verification of CAD model data to drawing content
Utilizing proficient experience with digital markup tools to communicate PD verification findings and suggestions to design staff members
Required:
Use of Creo CAD tool to create mechanical engineering models and drawings, 10 years exp. minimum
Aerospace PLM System experience, 5 years minimum
Understanding of EBOMs and WC WTPart to CAD data relationships is a plus.
Knowledge of Mechanical Aerospace hardware required.
Working level knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (ASME Y14.5).
Ability to read and interpret product definition and related specifications.

ASME Certification in GD&T is a plus
Education:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and at least 10 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education. 10 years of experience with CAD systems (Creo 10.0 preferred) along with experience using CAD database management and PLM tools (Windchill preferred).
