Job Description:
Performs continuous review and analysis of demand and supply. Communicates performance expectations and metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier performance.

Detailed Supplier Knowledge
Knowledge of suppliers' capabilities to support Boeing production includes, but are not limited to production, technical, service and design management. Also included are knowledge of business systems, organizational structure, manufacturing processes, risk mitigation, capacity planning, past/present delivery performance, design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, and supplier data.
Manufacturing Knowledge
Applies knowledge of aerospace product configuration, assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, testing, manufacturing capabilities, planning, systems, support equipment, and tooling to support emergent and routine requirements. Ability to apply manufacturing knowledge in support of supply chain management.
Procurement Processes
Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various procurement departments/disciplines. Knowledge of the interactions between departments/disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact non-Procurement processes (e.g., Engineering, Business, Operations, Logistics).
Supplier Tech Management
Knowledge of project and supplier techniques (e.g., design reviews, schedule reviews, production readiness) required for the management of the supplier's technical activities (e.g., design, development, test). The ability to develop technical requirements and evaluate supplier performance as related to those requirements. The ability to distinguish between requirements and objectives and to balance between those requirements and the supplier's capabilities and limitations. Capable of working effectively with supplier technical team in assessing product/system issues or designs.
Supply Chain Knowledge
Knowledge of supply chain requirements (e.g., replenishment, repairs, cycle time, inventory levels, scrap rate, pricing, suppliers, contracts) and the affect on the business and profitability.
Education / Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
