Position Overview

PDS Defense is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance & Modification Technician to join our MV-22 Modification & Maintenance Team. In this role, you will assemble, disassemble, modify, and troubleshoot aerospace vehicle systems to ensure operational readiness and compliance with flight-worthiness standards. You will work under general direction and play a key role in maintaining and upgrading V-22 aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, disassemble, and modify aerospace systems by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading components to correct failures or implement changes.
  • Oversee assembly, disassembly, and overhaul processes.
  • Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate faults and repair components.
  • Perform validation/verification testing of systems and components.
  • Document repairs, test results, modifications, and inspections to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
  • Inspect components and verify repairs for flight-worthiness requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members.

Duties Will Include

  • Independently perform maintenance and modifications on V-22 aircraft systems (Electrical/Avionics or Airframes).
  • Conduct functional and diagnostic tests using monitoring instruments and automated test equipment.
  • Resolve routine and complex problems with minimal engineering assistance.
  • Ensure accuracy and thoroughness of assembly, disassembly, and overhaul functions.
  • Verify and document discrepancies, repairs, and inspection results.
  • Perform modifications to meet deliverable product requirements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with V-22 Maintenance/Modification.
  • Knowledge of general aircraft maintenance processes (FOD control, tool control, health & safety).
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.
  • Quality Assurance experience.
  • Extensive depot-level modification experience.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED and typically 4+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
