PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Interior Systems Assembler, in North Charleston, SC. Job ID #216603.

Job Responsibilities:  
  • Performs simple production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations.

Basic Hiring Criteria: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess understanding and knowledge of basic computer systems and programs with proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • 1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions.
  • Use various hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as screwdrivers, ratchets, power screwdriver multi meterscontinuity testers.
  • Routing and installation of electrical components per engineering specifications.
  • Must have the ability to work variable shifts (first, second, or third) based on business needs.
  • Ability to successfully complete training and knowledge assessments involving mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to complete and maintain Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications, if required.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as flexion and extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching overhead, rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting).
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 10-35 pounds.
  • Ability to work with high-hazard chemicals using proper protective equipment provided.
  • 6 months or less using software applications such as internet navigation, email, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or other specialized computer applications.
  • 6 months or less following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications.
  • 6 months or less in a manufacturing, technical, or mechanical field, including equivalent military experience, performing work with basic hand, power, and/or pneumatic (air) tools.
