PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Interior Systems Assembler, in North Charleston, SC. Job ID #216603.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs simple production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Possess understanding and knowledge of basic computer systems and programs with proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions.
Use various hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as screwdrivers, ratchets, power screwdriver multi meters, continuity testers.
Routing and installation of electrical components per engineering specifications.
Must have the ability to work variable shifts (first, second, or third) based on business needs.
Ability to successfully complete training and knowledge assessments involving mathematical calculations.
Ability to complete and maintain Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications, if required.
Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as flexion and extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching overhead, rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting).
Ability to lift/carry up to 10-35 pounds.
Ability to work with high-hazard chemicals using proper protective equipment provided.
6 months or less using software applications such as internet navigation, email, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or other specialized computer applications.
6 months or less following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications.
6 months or less in a manufacturing, technical, or mechanical field, including equivalent military experience, performing work with basic hand, power, and/or pneumatic (air) tools.
