PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an experienced Program Management 3 professional to support aerospace programs in Bohemia, NY. Program Management at Lighting is a highly visible and impactful role, requiring the ability to lead diverse teams through complex technical and business challenges across multiple phases of the product lifecycle.

The Program Manager will play a critical role in owning or supporting the customer interface while monitoring and controlling project execution to ensure program success.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead or support sustaining program activities, including:
Delivery assurance
Obsolescence management
Inventory right-sizing
Contracts administration
Aftermarket spares and AOG (Aircraft on Ground) management
Product redesign projects
Work autonomously with minimal oversight while leading small to medium-sized programs and projects
Develop and manage program plans, schedules, and execution strategies
Analyze data and monitor programs to ensure compliance with contract requirements, manufacturing costs, and cost of poor quality metrics
Support program management activities related to business development within the assigned statement of work
Develop, maintain, and present corrective action plans and recovery schedules to internal leadership and customers
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and process efficiency and quality
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with program goals, staffing needs, and overall program health
Support all phases of the program lifecycle, from inception and development through production and product launch
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience
OR14 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
Technical degree or 2-year Business degree
Program Management Institute (PMI) certification such as PMP, CAPM, or equivalent
