PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Service Center Coordinator to support its Western Region Maintenance Center in Lakewood, CA. This role is critical in ensuring smooth daily operations by coordinating shipping/receiving, administrative support, and customer interactions.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Logistics
Perform domestic and international shipping/receiving of equipment, including tracking and logging
Manage work tickets using internal systems to create and update task records
Coordinate with shipping vendors and service providers
Track inventory using Costpoint and assist with annual inventory audits
Procure materials, parts, and equipment as needed
Coordinate repairs and calibrations with external vendors
Administrative & Office Support
Support front office operations, including greeting visitors and answering phones
Process invoices and bills for payment
Sort and distribute mail
Prepare correspondence, reports, and documentation
Maintain project files (electronic and hard copy)
Use MS Excel and PowerPoint to organize and present data
Coordination & Reporting
Assist management in tracking tasks and ensuring accurate cost documentation for billing
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of administrative experience in a corporate environment
Experience with shipping and receiving operations(required)
Inventory/supply tracking experience (required)
Supply inventory experience (required)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (required)
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
Strong problem-solving skills for routine and non-routine issues
