PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a skilled Processing Technician II to support forging and quality operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

💲 Pay Rate: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
🌙 3rd Shift Monday - Friday 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM
🔧 Position Responsibilities
Quality & Process Monitoring
✅ Record critical "in-process" forging parameters, including:
- Optical pyrometer readings for tooling and material temperatures (on and off die)
- Furnace soak times, forging times, and ramp-up times
- Rolling parameters and tonnage data from ring-roll mills and presses
✅ Report any in-process non-conformances to the Quality Department and other designated personnel
✅ Maintain and archive documentation in accordance with company procedures
Inspection & Technical Duties
✅ Interpret engineering blueprints and measure parts to blueprint specifications
✅ Perform furnace pyrometry activities, including:
- SATs (System Accuracy Tests)
- Furnace inspections
- Pyrometry-related documentation
✅ Support calibration of:
- Furnaces
- Tooling
- Optical pyrometers
✅ Conduct Quality Forge Audits and Forge Furnace Audits
Additional Responsibilities
✅ Interface effectively with multiple departments
✅ Follow company procedures, work instructions, safety standards, and quality requirements
✅ Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workstation
✅ Perform additional duties as assigned
✅ Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience with precision measurements and inspections
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and quality processes
- Knowledge of company procedures and work instructions
- Correctable vision that meets company work instruction and procedural requirements
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
