Job Description:
Client is seeking an Experienced MH-139 Ground Support Equipment Mechanic willing to work on variable shifts supporting the MH-139 program at FE Warren AFB in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
Position Responsibilities:
- Preventative Maintenance & inspections on diesel/gas engines, hydraulic power units, heaters, air conditioners & associated ground handling gear
- Troubleshooting & repair on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and structural components of ground support equipment
- Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul
- Calibration and testing preparation
- Corrosion control & fabrication in cleaning, priming and painting metal surfaces and fabrication of simple parts to support ground equipment functionality
- Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components
- Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results)
- Inspects components and verifies repairs
- Works under general direction
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
1. Minimum of 3 years' experience with aircraft maintenance and ground support equipment maintenance
2. Must have thorough knowledge of ground safety protocols, including lockout/tagout, spill prevention and PPE usage
3. Must be willing to work variable shifts
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with MH-139 maintenance and/or modifications
- General Mechanic experience desirable
Typical Education/ Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
